- Work alongside the Head of Incubation & Growth, Lead Engineer, Front End Engineer and Senior Product Owner, business stakeholders and technical development teams to design and deliver experiments and prototypes.
- Build websites, components and applications in .NET Core, SqlServer, React JS, Bootstrap, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Work with the data analytics and insights team in establishing customer segmentation, analytics, tagging and tracking using Tealium CDP
- Work with DevOps in maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Make smart decisions on the fastest way to stand up prototypes using varied server and client-side technologies.
- Review and collaborate with the Product Owner on stories and acceptance criteria to deliver experiments and prototypes in successive iterations.
- Partner with Lead Engineer, Product Owner and technical team in requirement analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of experiments.
- Solve performance problems and technical challenges when necessary.
- Contribute to the team strategy and planning, setting and development of the experimentation roadmap.
- Leverage data and analytics to develop a deep understanding of customers and customer behaviours to inform experiment direction.
- Engage with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements, and business of tomorrow
- Act as an advisor for other engineers by providing support and coaching of other team members to ensure team goals are achieved.
- 5+ years of commercial experience in developing web applications using C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Web API.
- A proficient understanding of client-side scripting, JavaScript libraries and web frameworks including ReactJS, jQuery, Bootstrap and AngularJS.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps and its various components (e.g. Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines)
- Experience with automating build and deployment processes.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS and CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
- Experience in developing Sitecore Digital re-platform projects is a plus.
- Good understanding of software design principles and patterns.

The purpose of the Engineer for Digital Incubation & Growth (DIG) is to assist establish and run an experimentation and incubation capability that will demonstrate best practice and partner with the business to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency improvements, and business of tomorrow.
The Back End Engineer will partner with the technical team in rapidly building experiments to drive greater integration of the customer experience across Bupa digital estates.
